With all of the data I have collected, I intend to used the most popular ideas and enforce them on my own magazine.
I decided to name my magazine 'LIFTED' I chose this name not only because was the most popular during my research, but because I thought I was a suitable name for a hip-hop magazine as this particular genre in the music industry is always rising and continuing to strive.
I hope to grab my reader’s attention and appeal to my audience by the following -look of the front cover, colour scheme and cover lines on the front cover.
Main Task: Double Page Spread Textual Analysis

Setting- The setting of the image is an urban community. This could be an idea that this may be where the subject grew up.
Costume: The subjects costume is a typical rappers approach to fashion- oversized clothing, colossal sized chains and jewellery, baseball caps and tattoos.
Non Verbal Communication: This main image of a man shows a calm atmosphere; his body language suggests almost a humble and sensitive approach from a usual rapper.
Target Audience- This would be males and females who enjoy listening to this kind of hip-hop/Rap music. They would usually be the age range of about 16- 25 and they are most likely to be in full time education or working in a job.
Main Task: Front Cover Textual Analysis

Lighting- The lighting in this comes across as artificial, suggesting it has been produced in a studio.

Preliminary task: front cover textual analysis

His clothing comes across as smart casual; I think this has been chosen carefully to achieve the appropriate target audience. His non verbal communication comes across as very independent and proud to be involved in education, he also seems quite confident as he is looking directly to the camera.
The masthead is a very complex and simple the colours and the name completely compliment the magazine cover; it clearly indicates what the magazine is about. The anchorage used in this cover is used in a sans serif font; it appears the text is very modern and high-tech, once again appealing to the appropriate age group. The vary of font and size on this cover gives the magazine a edgy and modern look.

Induction: Movie poster texture analysis

This image has a denotation of a man standing in front of fire holding a whip. However the connotations of this image shows bravery from the fact he is standing in front of fire, it shows he is fearless and seems adventurous.
The costume he is wearing appears to be quite old fashioned and combat seeming he is again quite adventurous. The prop he has is a whip denoting courageous and daring. It also seems quite historic as most people in this modern time wouldn’t usually carry around a whip. The setting in this poster appears to be in some sort of cave, the skull in the background could imply he is "close to death" from the typical representation of a skull.
The lighting appears to be quite serious, from the fiery reds and oranges, but at the same time, in a strange way it creates a warming atmosphere as the text is the same colour - the anchorage is a sansserrif font which appears to be quite a comic kind which in a sense eases the viewers mind.
The non verbal communication shown in this poster comes across as very stong and stern, you can see this from the direct eye contact which is given and the clenched fist suggesting an action packed film.
Induction: Recreation of a movie magazine front cover.
